WINDSOR -- Effingham St. Anthony High School came calling at Windsor and pounded the Blue Devils 93-38 Tuesday evening in boys basketball action.

The Bulldogs took off to a 24-9 first quarter lead and put the game away early. Andrew Gardewine led the way with 17 points while Nick Grunloh tallied 13.

Windsor was led by Nic Hutchison with 13.

Altamont took control in the opening quarter and never looked back in a 61-39 non-conference win over Ramsey Tuesday evening.

The Indians went to work with a 24-8 run and led 42-12 at halftime. Ryan Armstrong scored 13, Thomas Caravello 12 and Klaiton Wolff 11 for the winners.

Beecher City handed Mulberry Grove a 67-57 loss in action Tuesday evening.

Austin Rexroad went to work for the Eagles, scoring 28 points on 10 field goals, which included three trifectas, and five of six at the line. He also pulled down nine rebounds, had two assists, three steals and a block. Daniel Harder tallied 13 points and led in rebounds with 12. He had five blocks. Jackson Bales led in assists with three.

With a 30-19 opening quarter lead, Cumberland went on a tear and finished with a 110-85 win over Villa Grove/Heritage.

The Pirates held a 56-47 halftime lead before VG/H came back with a 28-24 run to pull within 80-75 going into the final quarter. Cumberland then had a 30-10 final period run.

Four players hit double figures for the winners. Brumleve tallied 24 while Shaon added 21, Napier 17 and Cutts 13.

Dieterich pushed its record to 24-0 with a 57-45 win over St. Elmo/Brownstown Tuesday.

The Eagles held a 28-27 halftime lead before Dieterich got on track with an 18-6 third quarter run. Bohnhoff tallied 18 points while Aherin added 16 and Niemerg 13 for the winners. Aherin had nine rebounds and Bohnhoff had four assists and five steals.

St. Elmo/Brownstown was led by Feezel with 19 and Maxey with 16. Feezel had six rebounds while Smithson had five assists and three steals. SEB drops to 8-15 overall.
