76ers Hold Off Nuggets, NBA Roundup

(Philadelphia, PA) -- The 76ers led by 21 at halftime and fought off a Nuggets fourth-quarter rally to grab a 105-98 win at the Wells Fargo Center. Hollis Thompson knocked down four threes off the bench on his way to 23 points in the victory.  Michael Carter-Williams added 15 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for Philadelphia, which snapped a two-game losing streak. Denver shot just under 39-percent from the field in the defeat. Danilo Gallinari had a team-high 22 points as the Nuggets have lost three in-a-row.


Celtics Sink Knicks

(New York, NY) -- Avery Bradley scored 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting leading the Celtics to a 108-97 victory against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.  Jared Sullinger added 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the win. Boston snapped a three-game losing streak. Carmelo Anthony posted 21 points, but it took him 23 shots. "Melo" did chip in six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Jose Calderon contributed 17 points and made three from deep as the Knicks have dropped two of three.


Pistons Crush Heat

(Auburn Hills, MI) -- The Pistons jumped out to a 19-point first quarter lead and never looked back beating the Heat, 108-91, at The Palace of Auburn Hills.  D.J. Augustin piled up 25 points and 13 assists, while Andre Drummond posted 14 with 14 rebounds. Detroit has bounced back from a four-game losing streak with two consecutive wins. Chris Bosh went off for 34 points, including 21 in the third quarter when he made all nine of his field goal attempts.  Hassan Whiteside chipped in 11 points, 10 boards and five blocks for the Heat, who have lost three of four.


Warriors Crush Kings

(Sacramento, CA) -- Stephen Curry racked up 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds in 29 minutes of action as the Warriors crushed the Kings, 121-96, at Sleep Train Arena. Marreese Speights and Andre Iguodala scored 17 points apiece off the bench for the Warriors, who swept the four-game season series with the Kings. Klay Thompson added 14 points in the victory.  DeMarcus Cousins posted game-highs of 26 points and 11 boards for Sacramento, which has dropped nine of 10. Rudy Gay netted 20 points, while Darren Collison and Ben McLemore both had 18 in defeat.


Blazers Clip Jazz

(Portland, OR) -- Damian Lillard posted 25 points and six assists helping the Trail Blazers pull out a 103-102 win against the Jazz at the Moda Center.  LaMarcus Aldridge had a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double for Portland, which snapped a three-game losing streak. Robin Lopez made his return to the lineup after missing the last 23 games and put up 11 points and six boards in the victory. Gordon Hayward hit 10-of-16 shots on his way to 27 points for the Jazz.  Rudy Gobert added seven points and 15 rebounds off the bench. The Jazz have lost three of four.


Bulls Battle Rockets

(Houston, TX) -- The Bulls continue their six-game road trip against the Rockets in Houston tonight. Chicago slipped to 1-2 on the trek with a 99-93 loss to the Suns last Friday. Chicago has lost three of its last four games overall. Tonight's nationally-televised game is at 7:00.
