Kansas Clobbers Iowa State, College News

(Lawrence, KS) -- Wayne Selden scored 20 points as ninth-ranked Kansas clobbered number-14 Iowa State 89-76 at Allen Fieldhouse. Perry Ellis added 17 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Jayhawks, who upped their record to 8-1 in the Big 12 and 19-3 overall. Kelly Oubre Jr. chipped in with 16 points in the victory. Georges Niang had 24 points, six boards and five assists for the Cyclones, who dipped to 6-3 in the Big 12 and 16-5 overall. Bryce Dejean-Jones ended with 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

Third-ranked Virginia Back On Track

Chapel Hill, NC (SportsNetwork.com) -- Malcolm Brogdon had 17 points, Justin Anderson scored 16 with seven assists and third-ranked Virginia got back on track by topping No. 12 North Carolina 75-64 Monday night. Coming off their first loss of the season, the Cavaliers pulled away in the second half against the Tar Heels to post just their seventh win in 72 trips to Chapel Hill. London Perrantes finished with 15 points and Anthony Gill supplied 13 with seven rebounds as Virginia (20-1, 8-1 ACC) rebounded from Saturday's 69-63 home loss to No. 4 Duke.

Illinois Hosts Rutgers

(Champaign, IL) -- Illinois will clash with Rutgers at the State Farm Center tonight. The Illini captured a 60-58 home win over Penn State their last time out on Saturday. Illinois is 4-5 in Big Ten play and 14-8 overall. Tip-off is at 8:30.

In other action tonight, Northwestern will be on the road to face Nebraska at 6:30.  DePaul will also play host to Seton Hall at 8:00.
