Teutopolis came calling and claimed girls freshman/sophomore basketball wins over Effingham Tuesday evening.

The Wooden Shoes won the freshman game 60-21 taking a 34-15 halftime lead. Michels led the way with 19 points while Bueker added 12. Effingham was led by Myers with eight points.

In the sophomore game, Teutopolis edged the Hearts 47-40. Effingham held a 27-26 halftime lead and held that one point lead going into the final quarter. T-town then came back with a 13-5 run to pull out the win.

Marianne Hemmen tallied 14 for the winners. Myers led Efifngham with 11.
