(Chicago, IL) -- Derrick Rose dropped in 22 points and Pau Gasol posted 12 points and 17 rebounds as the Bulls blasted the Spurs 104-81 at the United Center. Jimmy Butler scored 17 points while Taj Gibson added 15 to go with nine boards for the Bulls, who won for just the third time in nine games. Aaron Brooks chipped in with 15 points off the bench in the victory. Kawhi Leonard netted 16 points to pace San Antonio, which had won its previous four. Tim Duncan was held to just six points on 2-of-7 shooting in defeat. The Spurs shot just 37-percent as a team.

Bulls center Pau Gasol has been named a starter for the Eastern Conference in next month's NBA All-Star Game. He is joined in the starting lineup by Cleveland's LeBron James, Washington's John Wall, Toronto's Kyle Lowry, and New York's Carmelo Anthony. The 64th edition of the All-Star Game will be played at Madison Square Garden on February 15.

Jazz Sink Bucks

(Milwaukee, WI) -- The Bucks missed five shots with the chance to tie or take the lead in the final 1:07 of the fourth quarter and fell to the Jazz, 101-99, at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Enes Kanter led the way for Utah posting 23 points and 16 rebounds. Gordon Hayward had a team-high 24 points, while Dante Exum knocked down five from behind the arc for 15 points and added five assists. The Jazz had lost five of their previous six. Milwaukee trailed by nine with 2:35 left before scoring the next seven points to make it a one-possession game. Brandon Knight and Jared Dudley each scored a team-high 16 points as the Bucks have dropped two straight.

Celtics Slip By Trail Blazers

(Portland, OR) -- The Blazers blew a six-point lead with less than three-and-a-half minutes remaining and lost to the Celtics, 90-89, at the Moda Center.  Evan Turner made a go-ahead three-pointer to clinch the game with 1.9-seconds left on the clock. Turner had 10 points, eight rebounds and six assists for Boston. Avery Bradley led the Celtics with 18 points. Boston snapped a three-game losing streak and now sit at 14-26. Damian Lillard posted 21 points and seven assists for Portland, but shot only 8-of-23 from the field.  Portland fell to 31-13. The Blazers played without LaMarcus Aldridge, who will miss six-to-eight weeks with a hand injury.

Clippers Dominate Nets

(Los Angeles, CA) -- It got real ugly at the STAPLES Center with the Clippers cruising to a 123-84 win against the Nets behind 24 points and six rebounds from Blake Griffin. Los Angeles outscored Brooklyn by 11 in the first quarter and led by 33 at halftime. Chris Paul dished out 17 assists and DeAndre Jordan tallied a 14-point, 12-rebound, double-double.  Los Angeles has won three in-a-row. The only Nets starter in double-figures was Mason Plumlee with 16 points. Brooklyn shot 37-percent as a team on its way to its ninth loss in 11 games.

Bryant Earns 17th Trip To All-Star Game

Kobe Bryant earned his 17th trip to the All-Star Game by being voted in as a starter for the Western Conference. Bryant earned one of the West's starting guard spots over the league's leading scorer, James Harden, but the Lakers revealed Thursday Bryant has a right torn rotator cuff and will be sidelined indefinitely. The other starting guard for the West is Golden State's Stephen Curry, who overcame Cleveland's LeBron James over the past week to earn the most overall votes with 1,513,324.

Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis, Clippers forward Blake Griffin and Grizzlies center Marc Gasol make up the West's frontcourt. New York forward Carmelo Anthony and Chicago big man Pau Gasol will join James in frontcourt for the Eastern Conference, while Washington point guard John Wall and Toronto's Kyle Lowry make up the backcourt. Lowry (805,290) jumped Miami's Dwyane Wade (789,839) for the final guard spot.
