FLORA -- Effingham St. Anthony picked up two victories over Flora in junior high boys basketball action Saturday.

In the seventh-grade contest, the Bullpups downed Flora 50-35. St. Anthony held a 20-19 halftime lead then had a 20-7 final quarter run.

Dust tallied 22 to lead the winners.

In eighth-grade action, St. Anthony was a 56-28 winner. The Bullpups stepped out to a 20-6 opening quarter lead.

Brandenburger tallied 14 and Strullmeyer 11 for the winners.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis split victories with Centralia and fell to East St. Louis Clark twice Saturday.

T-town was a 48-9 winner in seventh-grade play over Centralia. Mitch Hemmen scored 15 points.

In the eighth-grade contest, T-town fell to Centralia 31-26. Dawson Smith scored seven.

East St. Louis Clark then defeated Centralia 46-26 in seventh-grade action and 51-24 in eighth-grade play.

ESL Clark then edged T-town 40-37 in the seventh-grade contest. Hemmen scored 11.

In the eighth-grade game, Clark was a 40-24 winner. Clint Weber led T-town with seven.

At Bridgeport

Jasper County picked up a seventh-grade win and split in eighth-grade action Friday and Saturday.

In a Friday game, Jasper County won over Hutsonville/Palestine 54-26 in eighth-grade play. In a Saturday contest, Marshall defeated Jasper County 46-25. Conner Bierman scored 16 while Zak Finn added 10.

In the seventh-grade contest Saturday, Jasper County won over Paris Mayo 40-26.
