(Berkeley, CA)  --  Nigel Hayes notched 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead sixth-ranked Wisconsin to a 68-56 win over California at Haas Pavilion.  Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker both donated 14 points for the Badgers, who upped their record to 11-and-1 with their fourth straight win.  Wisconsin hosts Buffalo on Sunday.


Temple Shocks #10 Kansas

(Philadelphia, PA)  --  Will Cummings and Quenton DeCosey combined for 37 points as Temple upset 10th-ranked Kansas 77-52 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.  The Owls added to a 10-point first half lead with a dominant second half to pull off the shocker.  Frank Mason the Third led the Jayhawks with 20 points in defeat.  Perry Ellis was just 1-of-10 from the field for five points as KU fell to 9-and-2.  It is the 8-and-4 Owls first win over a ranked opponent this season.  


#11 Wichita State Disposes of Loyola Marymount

Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Darius Carter and Tekele Cotton both scored 12 points in a balanced effort for No. 11 Wichita State, which disposed of Loyola Marymount 80-53 in the first round of the Diamond Head Classic. Ron Baker had 11 points and Zach Brown added 10 off the bench for Wichita State (9-1), which got points from 13 different players.


#16 Washington Tops Tulane

(Seattle, WA) -- Shawn Kemp Junior poured in 16 points to lead number-16 Washington to a 66-57 win over visiting Tulane. Nigel Williams-Goss tallied 14 points and nine assists and Robert Upshaw scored 11 off the bench. The Huskies move to 11-and-0 with the victory. They are off until Sunday when they square off with Stoney Brook.


Notre Dame Crushes Northern Illinois

(South Bend, IN) -- Pat Connaughton scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead number-16 Notre Dame to a 91-66 win over Northern Illinois in South Bend. Demetrius Jackson and Zach Auquste each chipped in 16 points to help the Fighting Irish extend their winning streak to eight games. Notre Dame sits at 12-1 and is off until December 30th against Hartford.
 

#18 West Virginia Rolls Over Wofford

Morgantown, WV (SportsNetwork.com) -- Juwan Staten tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds as No. 18 West Virginia rolled over Wofford, 77-44, on Monday. West Virginia's full-court pressure was too much for Wofford in the early going. The Mountaineers forced five turnovers during an 18-2 start.

 

SIUE Cruises To Win Over Chicago State

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- SIUE allowed its lowest point total in nearly eight seasons Monday, cruising to a 63-38 victory over Chicago State in men's basketball at the Vadalabene Center. SIUE (3-7) won consecutive games for the first time this season. Chicago State has dropped nine of its last 10 games and is now 3-11.
