Bulls Beat Hornets, NBA Roundup

(Charlotte, NC) -- Joakim Noah just missed a triple-double as the Bulls defeated the Hornets 102-95 from North Carolina. Noah ended with 14 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for Chicago, which has won three of four. Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler both had 15 points in the win. Pau Gasol tallied 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Bulls. Kemba Walker scored 23 points to pace Charlotte, which has lost 10 straight. Lance Stephenson chipped in with 20 points and eight boards in defeat.

Bulls guard Jimmy Butler is the Eastern Conference Player of the Butler averaged 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists over 15 games for the Bulls in November to win the award. He led the NBA in minutes at more than 39 per game.


Wizards Rout Lakers

(Washington, DC) -- Bradley Beal dropped in 27 points and Marcin Gortat had 21 points and 11 rebounds as the Wizards crushed the Lakers 111-95 at Verizon Center. John Wall went off for 17 points and 15 assists for the Wizards, who improved to 12-and-5 with the third straight win. Kris Humphries ripped down 20 boards in the rout. Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 29 points on 8-of-22 shooting for LA, which was denied its first three-game winning streak of the season and fell to 5-14 overall. Nick Young added 21 points off the pine in defeat. Jeremy Lin finished 0-for-10 from the field.


Hawks Hammer Heat

(Miami, FL) -- Jeff Teague posted 27 points and six assists as the Hawks hammered the Heat 112-102 from Miami. Kyle Korver added 18 points, while Dennis Schroder had 16 off the bench for Atlanta, which has won four straight. Paul Millsap helped out with 14 points and six boards in the win. Chris Bosh totaled 27 points and 11 rebounds for Miami, which has lost three of Mario Chalmers notched 19 points and 11 assists, while Dwyane Wade scored 28 points.


Celtics Sneak Past Pistons

(Boston, MA) -- They blew it at the end of regulation, but the Celtics bounced back in overtime to beat the Pistons, 109-102, at the TD Garden. Jeff Green went off for 32 points and knocked down six threes. Kelly Olynyk added 20 points and seven rebounds off the bench for Boston, which ended a five-game losing streak. Andre Drummond posted 27 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and five blocks in the loss. Greg Monroe tallied 29 with seven rebounds off the bench.  Monroe knocked down all 11 free throws he attempted. Detroit fell to 3-and-16 with its 10th consecutive loss.


Nets Hold Off Spurs

(Brooklyn, NY) -- Manu Ginobili missed two three-pointers in the later stages of overtime giving the Nets a 95-93 win over the Spurs at the Barclays Center.  Mirza Teletovic led the way for Brooklyn posting 26 points, and knocking down five from deep, with 15 rebounds. Deron Williams added 17 points and nine assists, while Brook Lopez compiled a 16-point, 15-board, double-double. The Nets have won three of four. Danny Green tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds in the defeat. Tim Duncan put up 14 points with 17 boards for San Antonio, which had an eight-game winning streak come to an end.


Mavericks Dump Bucks

(Milwaukee, WI) -- Monta Ellis knocked down a ridiculous fadeaway at the buzzer to give the Mavericks a 107-105 victory against the Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Ellis finished with 23 points and scored eight of the final nine points to help Dallas clinch the win. Tyson Chandler added 18 points and 20 rebounds as Dallas won its fifth straight. Dirk Nowitzki got the night off in the second game of a back-to-back. Brandon Knight had a game-high 25 points with six rebounds, five assists and four steals in the loss. Khris Middleton contributed 21 points off the bench for the Bucks, who have lost three in-a-row.


Sixers Win First Game Over Timberwolves

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The 76ers overcame a nine-point second quarter to pull out their first win of the season by beating the Timberwolves 85-77 from the Target Center. The Sixers are 1-and-17 and were tied for the second-longest slide to begin an NBA season. Michael Carter-Williams posted 20 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in the victory. Gorgui Dieng tallied 15 points and 16 rebounds for Minnesota, which slipped to 4-13. Thaddeus Young paced the T'wolves against his former team with 16 points.


Rockets Slow Down Grizzlies

(Houston, TX) -- James Harden scored a game-high 21 points as the Rockets slowed down the Grizzlies with a 105-96 win at the Toyota Center. Jason Terry tallied 16 points, five assists and four steals for the Rockets, who have won five of six to move to 14-4 on the season. Trevor Ariza also had 16 points. Mike Conley netted 15 points and Jarnell Stokes scored 12 off the bench for Memphis, which had its five-game winning streak snapped and fell to 15-3 overall. Tony Allen added 10 points in the setback. Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol were both limited to eight points.


Clippers Maul Magic

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Blake Griffin scored 21 points and J.J. Redick added 20 as the Clippers mauled the Magic 114-86 at STAPLES Center. Chris Paul posted 19 points and 10 assists for the Clippers, who improved to 13-5 with their sixth straight win. DeAndre Jordan ripped down 16 boards in the victory. Tobias Harris tallied 16 points to pace Orlando, which fell to 1-3 on its six-game road trip. Victor Oladipo and Ben Gordon both had 11 points in defeat.
