Spurs Keep Sixers Winless, NBA Roundup

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Kawhi Leonard collected 26 points and 10 rebounds as the Spurs sunk the winless 76ers 109-103 in Philadelphia. Aron Baynes added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Spurs, who gave Tim Duncan and Tony Parker the night off.

Manu Ginobili and Cory Joseph had 14 points apiece in San Antonio's eighth straight win. Michael Carter-Williams finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for the Sixers, who are now 0-17 on the year. Alexey Shved had 19 points off the bench in the loss.


Wizards Crush Heat

(Washington, DC) -- Rasual Butler came off the bench to score 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting, helping the Wizards cruise to a 107-86 victory against the Heat at the Verizon Center. John Wall had a double-double with 18 points and 13 assists, while Marcin Gortat contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds. Washington led by 15 at halftime on its way to 11-5. Chris Bosh tallied 21 points and eight rebounds in the loss. Playing in a back-to-back for the fourth time this season Dwyane Wade looked fresh, putting up 20 points and three boards. Miami fell to 9-8.


Nuggets Edge Jazz

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- Seven Nuggets finished in double-figures en route to a 103-101 victory over the Jazz at EnergySolutions Arena. Ty Lawson paced a balanced attack with 15 points and 12 assists, while Wilson Chandler chipped in 15 points as well. Arron Afflalo scored 14 and Timofey Mozgov had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Denver, which has won seven of its last nine. Gordon Hayward led all scorers with 25 points, while Enes Kanter finished with 17 points and 15 boards as Utah suffered its sixth straight loss. Alec Burks added 22 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort.


Clippers Clobber Timberwolves

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick had 23 points apiece as the Clippers clobbered the Timberwolves 127-101 in Los Angeles. Spencer Hawes scored 14 points off the bench for the Clippers, who have reeled off five straight wins. DeAndre Jordan collected 11 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in the win. Shabazz Muhammad finished with 18 points and 10 boards for the Wolves, who have dropped two straight and five-of-six. Andrew Wiggins netted 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting in the loss.


Bulls Host Mavericks

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bulls welcome the Mavericks to the United Center tonight.  Chicago wrapped up its seven-game road trip with a 102-84 win over the Nets on Sunday. The Bulls went 4-3 on the trip to enter tonight's game 11-6 on the season. Tip-off is at 7:00.
