(Denver, CO) -- Ty Lawson led a balanced attack with 20 points and 12 assists as the Nuggets beat the Bulls 114-109 in Denver. Arron Afflalo added 19 points for the surging Nuggets, who have ripped off five straight wins. Danilo Gallinari dropped in 15 points off the bench in the victory.

Jimmy Butler led all scorers with 32 points for Chicago, which dropped to 2-3 on its seven-game road trip. Derrick Rose had two points and three assists before leaving with tightness in his left hamstring.


Hawks Hold Off Wizards

(Washington, DC) -- Jeff Teague racked up 28 points as the Atlanta Hawks held on to win a back-and-forth tilt, 106-102 over the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center. Paul Millsap added a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Mike Scott had 17 points off the bench. Atlanta puts an end to its two-game slide. John Wall scored 21 points and dished out 13 assists in the loss, while Paul Pierce contributed 14 points of his own. Washington had won two-straight before the setback.


Curry Goes For 40, Warriors Crush Heat

(Miami, FL) -- Stephen Curry had a huge game with 40 points, seven assists and six rebounds as the Warriors took down the Miami Heat 114-97 at American Airlines Arena. Curry went 12-of-19 from the field, including 8-of-11 from three-point range, and Klay Thompson added 24 points. Golden State has won seven consecutive games. Chris Bosh paced the Heat with 26 points and nine rebounds in the loss, while Luol Deng added 16 points. Miami had won two-straight before the setback.


Bucks Slow Down Pistons

(Milwaukee, WI) -- Brandon Knight netted 20 points and eight assists as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Detroit Pistons 98-86 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  O.J. Mayo poured in 17 points of his own, while rookie Jabari Parker scored 14 and grabbed nine rebounds as the Bucks ended a two-game slide. Detroit center Andre Drummond lead all scorers with 23 points and added 10 boards. Greg Monroe contributed 15 points and eight rebounds in the Pistons' eighth loss in nine games.


Kings Knock Off Pelicans

(New Orleans, LA) -- DeMarcus Cousins scored 22 points and snatched 12 rebounds to lead the Kings to a 99-89 win over the Pelicans in New Orleans. Omri Casspi also netted 22 points for the Kings, who have reeled off three straight wins. Ramon Sessions chipped in with 15 points and six assists in the victory. Tyreke Evans collected 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Pelicans. Anthony Davis had 14 points on 4-of-12 shooting in the loss.
