Junior High Boys Basketball -- Nov. 22

CHAMPAIGN -- Effingham Junior High School fell to Champaign Edison 54-45 in eighth-grade boys basketball action Saturday.

The Mustangs edged out to a 15-13 opening quarter lead. Edison came back to lead 26-22 at halftime. The pair played to a 16-16 third quarter tie. Edison then went out at 12-7 in the final period.

Wolfe tallied 22 and Lee 10 for Effingham. Wolfe and Jackson had two steals each. Wolfe led in rebounds with 12 while Lee had five.

The Mustangs drop to 5-1 on the season.
