Celtics Cruise Past Winless 76ers, NBA Roundup

(Philadelphia, PA)  --  Brandon Bass scored a game-high 23 points off the bench as the Celtics cruised past the winless 76ers 101-90 at Wells Fargo Center.  Jared Sullinger posted 22 points and nine rebounds for Boston, which snapped a three-game skid.  Jeff Green added 11 points and 10 boards and Rajon Rondo dished out 13 assists to go with nine points and five boards in the victory.  Tony Wroten tallied 21 points and seven helpers to pace the Sixers, who fell to 0-and-11.  Henry Sims had 14 points and seven rebounds in defeat.


Mavericks Clip Wizards

(Washington, DC)  --  Monta Ellis went off for 34 points and four assists as the Mavericks snuck past the Wizards, 105-102, at the Verizon Center.  Dirk Nowitzki struggled, but hit a clutch-three late to cap a 13 point night on 4-of-12 shooting.  Dallas has won five in-a-row.  Bradley Beal played his first game of the season returning from injury for Washington and didn't take long to get into the flow.  Beal posted 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting in 26 minutes off the bench.  Paul Pierce and Marcin Gortat each scored 17 for the Wizards, who had won their previous three games.


Clippers Pummel Magic

(Orlando, FL)  --  Jamal Crawford scored 22 points off the bench to pace the Clippers to a 114-90 win over the Magic at the Amway Center.  Chris Paul chipped in with 16 points and nine assists for Los Angeles, which has won two of three.  Blake Griffin added 20 points in the win.  Tobias Harris had a game-high 25 points for Orlando, which has lost two of three.  Nikola Vucevic posted 19 points and 14 rebounds in the loss.


Spurs Sink Cavaliers

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Tim Duncan posted 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Spurs sank the Cavaliers 92-90 from Cleveland.  LeBron James lost control of the ball near mid-court as the Cavs were making their way down the floor with one final chance late in the game.  Boris Diaw added 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds for San Antonio, which has won five of six.  James ended with 15 points and nine assists for Cleveland, which has lost two straight.  Anderson Varejao had 23 points and 11 boards for the Cavs.


Hill Lifts Pacers Past Hornets

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  Solomon Hill's tip in as time expired gave the Pacers an 88-86 win over the Hornets at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.  Roy Hibbert had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Luis Scola chipped in 15 points.  Indiana has won four of five to move to 5-and-7.  Al Jefferson posted a game-high 28 points with eight boards in the defeat.  Lance Stephenson put up 10 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in his first game versus his former team since signing with Charlotte this summer.  The Hornets have dropped three straight.


Bucks Outlast Nets In Triple-OT

(Brooklyn, NY)  --  Jason Kidd's return to Brooklyn saw a marathon of a game in which his Bucks outlasted the Nets 122-118 in triple-overtime at the Barclays Center.  Jabari Parker finished with 23 points and seven rebounds while Giannis Antetokounmpo [[ YAH-niss ah-det-oh-KOOM-boe ]] scored 18 and grabbed 12 boards in the win.  O.J. Mayo put up 21 off the bench and Brandon Knight chipped in 18 points including a three-pointer to force the third OT.  Milwaukee has won three in-a-row and five of its last six.  Brook Lopez led all scorers with 26 points for Brooklyn, which has dropped five straight.  Bojan Bogdanovic tallied 19 points while Deron Williams and Joe Johnson each added 18 in defeat.


Suns Starve Off Pistons

(Auburn Hills, MI)  --  The Suns held off a late Pistons rally to pull out an 88-86 victory at The Palace of Auburn Hills behind 18 points, six rebounds and four assists from Eric Bledsoe.  Detroit had multiple chances to steal the win late, but couldn't pull it off.  Returning from his one-game suspension, P.J. Tucker added 16 points and seven boards off the bench.  The Suns have started off their six-game road trip going 2-and-1.  Greg Monroe put up an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double in the loss.  Brandon Jennings posted 19 points despite shooting 1-of-9 from three and chipped in seven assists.  Detroit has lost three in-a-row.


Raptors Top Grizzlies

(Toronto, Ontario) -- DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points to pace the Raptors to 96-92 win over the Grizzlies in Toronto. The Raptors outscored the Grizz by 10 in the fourth quarter. Kyle Lowry added 18 points and seven assists for Toronto, which won its second straight to move to 9-2. Terrence Ross chipped in with 16 points in the win. Marc Gasol tallied 22 points and 12 rebounds for Memphis, which lost for only the second time this season. The Grizz are 10-2. Zach Randolph notched 18 points and 18 rebounds while Mike Conley scored 19 points and hauled in 10 boards in the loss.


Timberwolves Top Knicks

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Kevin Martin hit seven threes on his way to 37 points as the Timberwolves mauled the Knicks 115-99 from the Target Center. Mo Williams added 14 points and 13 assists for Minnesota, which snapped a five-game slide. Shabazz Muhammad chipped in with 17 points and eight rebounds in the win.  Carmelo Anthony had a team-best 20 points while Amar'e Stoudemire had 19 off the bench. Jason Smith scored 14 points off the pine for New York, which has lost nine of 10.


Nuggets Knock Off Thunder

(Denver, CO) -- Ty Lawson notched 15 points and 15 assists as the Nuggets knocked off the Thunder 107-100 at the Pepsi Center. Wilson Chandler chipped in with 21 points and nine rebounds for the Nuggets, who have won two in-a-row for the first time this season.  Timofey Mozgov added 17 points and seven boards in the victory. Serge Ibaka racked up 22 points and 13 boards to pace OKC, which fell to 3-10 with its fourth straight loss. Sebastian Telfair tallied 18 points off the bench and Reggie Jackson had 16 points, nine assists and seven boards in defeat.


Lakers Drop Rockets

(Houston, TX) -- Kobe Bryant finished with 29 points, seven assists and five rebounds to lead the Lakers to a 98-92 victory over the Rockets at the Toyota Center. Jordan Hill had a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards while Nick Young added 16 points of his own off the bench. Carlos Boozer tallied 12 points and 13 boards for LA, which has won back-to-back games for the first time this season. James Harden paced Houston with 24 points and seven dimes, but turned the ball over six times. Kostas Papanikolaou scored 19 off the bench while Dwight Howard sat out due to a knee sprain. The Rockets have dropped two in-a-row after winning nine of their first 10.


Bulls At Kings

(Sacramento, CA) -- The Bulls make the second stop on their seven-game road trip against the Kings at Sleep Train Arena tonight. Chicago improved to 8-3 with an impressive win over the Clippers on Monday. The Kings are off to a 6-5 start.

The Derrick Rose injury watch continues as he returned to practice Wednesday for the Bulls. Rose is dealing with a hamstring injury and has missed six of Chicago's 11 games with various ailments. He is questionable for tonight. Pau Gasol, who also missed the game versus the Clippers with a calf injury, is not sure if he'll play.
