Bulls Meet Timberwolves Friday, Preseason Scores

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Bulls are headed to St. Louis for Friday's preseason finale against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Chicago is 4-3 so far in the preseason after falling to the Cavaliers on Monday. The Bulls open the regular season a week from tonight against the Knicks in New York.

Bulls guard Jimmy Butler won't practice the rest of the week and will not play in Friday's preseason finale against the Timberwolves. An MRI confirmed that Butler sprained ligaments in his left thumb. He will be re-evaluated later this week, likely putting Kirk Hinrich in the starting lineup.


Rockets Fall To Heat

(Miami, FL) -- Dwight Howard and James Harden both went for 19 points but the Rockets fell to the Heat 90-85 in preseason action  Donatas Motiejunas grabbed 10-boards off the bench as Houston fell to 4-2. The Rockets travel to Orlando tonight and will play San Antonio on Friday to wrap up the preseason schedule.


Timberwolves Pound Pacers

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Anthony Bennett dropped a team-high 17 points to lead the Timberwolves past the Pacers 107-89 at the Target Center. Ricky Rubio added 16 points and Mo Williams had 13 off the bench for Minnesota, which improved to 3-2 in preseason play. The T'wolves battle the Bucks tonight in Milwaukee.


Jazz Roll Thunder

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Enes Kanter led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help the Jazz to a 105-91 preseason win over the Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Trey Burke added 23 points while Derrick Favors tallied a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. The victory improves the Jazz to 5-2 in exhibition play. The Jazz wrap up the preseason on Friday against the Suns. The regular season kicks off next Wednesday against the Rockets.


Nuggets Fall To Blazers In Boulder

(Boulder, CO) -- Wilson Chandler had 13 points off the bench as the Nuggets fell 93-75 to the Trail Blazers in preseason action from the Coors Events Center. Darrell Arthur added 10 points for Denver, which fell to 2-5. The Nuggets close the preseason Friday at Golden State.


Thomas Leads Suns Past Lakers In OT

(Anaheim, CA) -- Isaiah Thomas scored 26 points, including a game-tying jumper at the end of the fourth quarter to force overtime, as the Suns slipped past the Lakers 114-108 at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Gerald Green added 21 points in 20 minutes of action for Phoenix, which improved to 4-1 in preseason play. The Suns play the Clippers in Los Angeles tonight at 7:30.


Warriors Beat Up Clippers

(Oakland, CA) -- While resting Blake Griffin and Chris Paul the Clippers lost the Warriors, 125-107, in preseason action at ORACLE Arena. Jared Cunningham scored a team-high 23 points in the defeat. Los Angeles hosts the Suns tonight at the STAPLES Center.
