Effingham Sacred Heart and Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick split junior high girls basketball victories Tuesday.

The Shamrocks won the eighth-grade contest, 26-24. Webster tallied 11 for the winners. BCCH was led by Tabitha Endsley with 12. BCCH drops to 4-1 on the season.

In the seventh-grade matchup, BCCH was a 28-14 winner. Lauren Wojcik tallied 11 points for BCCH which is now 3-2 overall. The Shamrocks were led by Bushue and Carie with four points each.

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor and Neoga split wins. Neoga claimed the seventh-grade contest 27-6. Partlow tallied seven points for the winners. Stew-Stras/Windsor drops to 0-4.

In eighth-grade action, Stew-Stras/Windsor claimed a 44-13 victory after taking a 27-7 halftime lead. Schlechte scored 16 and Tabbert nine for the winners. Easton scored nine for Neoga. Stew-Stras/Windsor improves to 3-1.

At Teutopolis

Teutopoliis and Charleston both picked up victories in action Tuesday. T-town was a 34-20 winner in seventh-grade play to improve to 3-0.

Claire Bushur scored 12 and Olivia Niemerg 10 for the winners. T. Nicholson led Charleston with 19.

In eighth-grade play, Charleston won 27-15. Buescher scored 10 to lead the winners. Emma Deters had five for T-town which drops to 0-3.

In eighth-grade play, Altamont was a 31-14 winner. Altamont held a 20-5 first half lead. Tinley Mette tallied 10 points for the winners.
