(Deerfield, IL) -- Bulls guard Derrick Rose is taking part in the team's Summer League practices. The first session of a three-day minicamp was held last night. Rose will not travel to Las Vegas with the rest of the Summer League team for games, which start Saturday night.

Longtime Bulls trainer Fred Tedeschi is leaving the organization. A spokesman says he has accepted a position at Oregon State, where his daughter is enrolled in graduate school. Tedeschi was hired in 1998 by former GM Jerry Krause. Assistant Jeff Tanaka will oversee the summer league.
