Wizards Romp Pacers In Game Five

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Marcin Gortat and John Wall made sure the Wizards would be accompanied back to DC as they smoked the Pacers 102-79 in Game Five at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Gortat exploded for 31 points and 16 rebounds while Wall added 27 points, five boards and five assists. Washington trails the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal 3-2 with Game Six at home on Thursday. Indiana was outrebounded 62-23. Paul George, Roy Hibbert and Lance Stephenson combined for one defensive rebound. David West and George were the only Indiana players to reach double figures with 17 and 15 points, respectively.


Thunder Stun Clippers With Late Rally In Game Five

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- The Thunder came back from the dead at home, outscoring the Clippers by 14 in the last four minutes to pull out a 105-104 victory and take a 3-2 series lead in the Western Conference semifinals. Russell Westbrook knocked down three free throws after a controversial foul call to give Oklahoma City the lead with six seconds left and Chris Paul turned the ball over on the final possession. Westbrook finished the game with 38 points, six assists and five rebounds. Kevin Durant was the only other Thunder player in double figures with 27 points. Paul posted 17 points and 14 helpers, but turned the ball over five times, all after halftime, in the defeat. Los Angeles will try to avoid elimination in Game Six from STAPLES Center on Thursday.
