Heat Hold Off Nets In Game Four

(Brooklyn, NY) -- LeBron James tied his playoff career-high with 49 points carrying the Heat to a 102-96 Game Four win over the Nets at Barclays Center.  James hit 16-of-24 shots and added six rebounds. The next highest scorer for Miami was Dwyane Wade with 15 points as the Heat took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal. The Heat will have a chance to close it out Wednesday at home in Game Five. Joe Johnson paced Brooklyn with 18 points, but shot 5-of-15 from the field. Paul Pierce added 16 points and seven boards in the defeat.


Blazers Live Another Day Beating Spurs

(Portland, OR) -- The Trail Blazers avoided being swept by the Spurs with a 103-92 win at the Moda Center in Game Four behind 25 points, five assists and four rebounds from Damian Lillard. Portland will try to extend the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinals series again Wednesday night in San Antonio trailing 3-1. Will Barton came off the bench to post 17 points, while Nicolas Batum filled up the stat sheet with 14 points, 14 boards and eight assists. No Spurs starter played more than 27 minutes. Tony Parker had a team-high 14 points in the loss. San Antonio shot 3-of-18 from behind the arc.
