Heat Rock Nets In Game Two

(Miami, FL) -- It was more of the same in Game Two at AmericanAirlines Arena as the Heat took care of the Nets, 94-82, behind 22 points from LeBron James.  Miami leads the Eastern Conference semifinals series with Brooklyn 2-0. Chris Bosh added 18 points, while Ray Allen tallied 13 off the bench. Game Three is Saturday night in Brooklyn. After Kevin Garnett was held scoreless in the opener, Deron Williams was 0-for-9 and didn't score a point Thursday night. Mirza Teletovic paced the Nets off the bench with 20 points. Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce each added 13. Brooklyn was outscored by 10 in the fourth quarter.


Spurs Trounce Blazers To Take 2-0 Lead

(San Antonio, TX) -- After a dominating Game One for San Antonio, Kawhi Leonard scored 20 points to lead a balanced Spurs attack to a 114-97 win over the Blazers in Game Two of their Western Conference Semifinals matchup. Tony Parker scored 16 points and dished out 10 assists while, Manu Ginobili also added 16 points for San Antonio, which takes a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Nicholas Batum led all scorers with 21 points and grabbed nine boards in the loss. Damian Lillard donated 19 points, while LaMarcus Aldridge tallied 16 on 6-of-23 shooting. Game Three will be played in Portland on Saturday.


Pair of Game 3s Set For Tonight

A pair of Game 3s are scheduled for Friday. The Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards will battle for the series lead as their Eastern Conference semifinal shifts to the  nation's capital. Behind Roy Hibbert's slump-busting performance, the top-seeded Pacers evened the series with Wednesday's 86-82 victory. The Los Angeles Clippers host the Oklahoma City Thunder, who tied this Western Conference semifinal series with a 112-101 win on Wednesday.


Clippers' Crawford Named NBA Sixth Man Of Year

(New York, NY) -- Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford is the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year. Given to the league's top reserve, Crawford averaged 18.6 points while coming off the bench in 45 of the 69 games he played during the regular season. Crawford is just the fourth player to win Sixth Man honors twice, having also won with the Atlanta Hawks in 2009-10.


Gibson Second In Sixth Man Voting

Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson finished second in the Sixth Man Award voting Thursday. Clippers guard Jamal Crawford took home the honor. Gibson earned 49 first place votes and 395 points. Crawford picked up 57 first place votes and 421 points.
