Minnesota Meets FSU In NIT Semifinals Tonight

(New York, NY) -- The Minnesota Golden Gophers meet the Florida State Seminoles tonight in the semifinals of the NIT at Madison Square Garden in New York.  Both teams are No. 1 seeds. The Gophers knocked off Southern Miss 81-73 last week in the quarterfinals to advance. The Seminoles beat Louisiana Tech 78-75 to move on. SMU and Clemson will play in the other semifinal.


Wooden All-Americans Announced

Six seniors headline the 2014 Wooden All-American team. Creighton forward Doug McDermott and Connecticut guard Shabazz Napier highlight the group of upperclassmen on the 10-player squad. McDermott finished his career fifth on the all-time scoring list, while Napier has led seventh-seeded UConn into the Final Four. The team had only two freshmen named to it, Kansas' Andrew Wiggins and Duke's Jabari Parker. Wichita State's Cleanthony Early, Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick, Arizona's Nick Johnson, Florida's Casey Prather, Louisville's Russ Smith and Michigan's Nik Stauskas round out the team.
