Dayton Dumps Stanford To Move On To Elite Eight

(Memphis, TN) -- Eleventh-seeded Dayton became the first team to advance to the Elite Eight with an 82-72 victory over 10th-seeded Stanford at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee. Jordan Sibert paced the Flyers in their Sweet 16 matchup with 18 points, while Kendall Pollard added 12 off the bench. Dayton will meet the number-one overall seed Florida in the Elite Eight for the right to go to the Final Four on Saturday. Chasson Randle posted a game-high 21 points in the loss. The Cardinal shot 38-percent from the field as they closed out the season with a 23-13 record.


Florida Beats UCLA Again In NCAA Tournament

(Memphis, TN) -- The Elite Eight for the South Region is set as top-seeded Florida dumped fourth-seed UCLA, 79-68, at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee.  The Gators are 4-and-0 against the Bruins during the NCAA Tournament. Michael Frazier the Second paced Florida with 19 points and hit five shots from behind the arc. The Gators will go into their matchup with upstart Dayton on Saturday with a 35-2 record. The Bruins shot 3-of-18 from behind the arc. Jordan Adams posted a team-high 17 points in the loss. UCLA's season came to an end at 28-9.


Badgers Moving On Past Baylor

(Anaheim, CA) -- Frank Kaminsky posted 19 points and six blocks to carry second-seeded Wisconsin to a 69-52 win over sixth-seeded Baylor in the Sweet 16 of the West Regional. The Badgers are on to their first Elite Eight appearance since 2005. Wisconsin will play top-seeded Arizona on Saturday in Anaheim.  The Badgers are 29-7. Cory Jefferson totaled 15 points and seven rebounds for the Bears, who end the season at 26-12.


Arizona Advances To Elite Eight With Win Over SDSU

(Anaheim, CA) -- Nick Johnson recorded 15 points and eight rebounds to lead top-seeded Arizona to a 70-64 win over San Diego State in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in Anaheim. Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson also had 15 points apiece for the Wildcats, who face second-seeded Wisconsin in the Elite Eight on Saturday. Xavier Thomas tallied a game-high 25 points for the fourth-seeded Aztecs, who finish their season 31-5. Dwayne Polee the Second added 13 points in the setback.
