Albany Holds On To Defeat Mount St. Mary's

(Dayton, OH) -- DJ Evans had a game-high 22 points as Albany won the matchup of 16 seeds, 71-64, over Mount St. Mary's from Dayton, Ohio. Evans added nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. Peter Hooley poured in 20 points en route to Albany's first NCAA Tournament win. The Great Danes move on to play number-one overall seed Florida on Thursday. Will Miller scored 21 points and was 7-of-12 on three pointers off the bench in the loss. Rashad Whack had 16 points as the Mountaineers season ends at 16-17 overall.


NC State Cruises Into Round Of 64

(Dayton, OH) -- T.J. Warren dropped in a game-high 25 points as North Carolina State cruised past Xavier 74-59 and into the round of 64 of the NCAA Tournament. Ralston Turner tallied 17 points for the 12th-seeded Wolfpack, who will head to Orlando to face fifth-seeded Saint Louis in the second round on Thursday. Matt Stainbrook posted 19 points and nine rebounds for the Musketeers, who failed to earn a win in the "Big Dance" for just the second time in their last seven appearances. Semaj Christon chipped in with 14 points in defeat.
