A staunch critic of players with ties to performance-enhancing drugs, Holiday says he is willing to forgive the 31-year-old shortstop. Peralta was given a 50-game ban last season while with the Detroit Tigers as part of the Biogenesis clinic scandal. Peralta signed a four-year, $53-million contract with St. Louis this offseason.
