White Sox Re-Sign Konerko

(Chicago, IL) -- Paul Konerko is returning to the White Sox. The veteran first baseman has agreed to a one-year, 2.5-million-dollar contract for 2014.  The 37-year-old has spent 15 of his 17 big league seasons with the White Sox. Konerko slumped to just .244 with 12 home runs and 54 RBI in 126 games last season.  His 434 career home runs rank fifth among active players. His 427 homers with the White Sox are just 21 shy of the franchise record held by Frank Thomas.
