Dodgers Blank Cardinals, Get On Board In NLCS

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Rookie Hyun-Jin Ryu tossed seven innings of three-hit ball to lead the Dodgers to a 3-0 win over the Cardinals in Game Three of the National League Championship Series from Los Angeles. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly says Ryu used his fastball to work his other pitches against hitters.

Ryu struck out four and walked just one while Kenley Jansen closed it out for the save.  Adrian Gonzalez doubled in Mark Ellis in the fourth before Yasiel Puig followed with an RBI triple. Hanley Ramirez added an RBI infield single in the eighth. Ramirez played despite dealing with fractured ribs. Los Angeles still trails two-games-to-one in the best-of-seven series and will host Game Four on Tuesday.  Adam Wainwright pitched seven innings of two-run ball for St. Louis while striking out five. Third baseman David Freese left in the fifth inning with right calf tightness. The Cards managed just five base runners in defeat.
