Neoga Edges Dieterich, South Central Wins in High School Baseball

Neoga edged Dieterich 4-3 in high school baseball action Wednesday.

Neoga took a 1-0 first inning lead and tallied two more in the fourth for a 3-1 lead. Dieterich came back within 3-2 in the fifth but Neoga tallied what would prove to be the winning run in the top of the sixth. Dieterich rallied with a run in the bottom of the seventh only to fall short.

G. Walk and M. Kingery led Neoga with two singles each. Dieterich was led by A. Bohnhoff and C. Hartke with two singles each. Hartke drove in two runs.

At Kinmundy

South Central ended the game in the fifth for an 11-1 victory over Webber Township (Bluford).

South Central stepped out to a 2-1 lead then brought home nine runs in the fourth. Tyler Ross pitched a four-hitter with three walks and four strikeouts.

Dre Hill and Dylan Smith had a single and double each. Hill drove in two runs. Tyler Ross and Kyle Bray had two singles each. Ross had three RBI while Bray had two.
