With a three-run fourth, the Bulldogs of St. Anthony went on to claim a 4-1 baseball win over St. Elmo/Brownstown Tuesday evening.

SE/Brownstown took a 1-0 first inning lead and held that until the fourth. St. Anthony then tacked on a single run in the fifth. The Bulldogs had seven hits led by Brandon Puckett with two. Zach Gardewine picked up the pitching win on a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Brownstown/St. Elmo drops to 2-1 in the National Trail Conference, 2-2 overall. St. Anthony is 1-0 in the NTC, 4-1 overall.

At Teutopolis

Altamont and Teutopolis split a doubleheader. T-town took a 7-1 victory while the Indians won 2-1.

In the T-town win, the Wooden Shoes banged out 10 hits led by D. Probst with two singles, a double and two RBI while A. Goldstein had a single, double and an RBI. J. Kenter added two singles and two RBI and B. Wenthe a triple.

Altamont was led by Ziegler with two singles and an RBI.

In the Indians win, T-town led 1-0 until the sixth when Altamont tallied two runs and went on for the victory. J. Miller had two singles and drove in a run for the winners.

T-town was led by J. Bloemer and J. Roepke with two singles each. J. Thoele had a double and an RBI.

At Dieterich

South Central edged Dieterich 3-2. The Maroons led 1-0 after one inning and 2-0 after three. South Central came back with a run in the fourth and won it in the sixth with two runs.

Both teams had four hits. South Central was led by D. Smith with a single, triple and an RBI and K. Henken with a double. Dieterich's hits were all singles by four different players.

D. Peters picked up the pitching win allowing three walks and striking out 10.

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick blanked Mulberry Grove 5-0 with a big four-run first inning.

BCCH had 11 hits in the contest led by Jackson Bales with three singles, Austin Rexroad with two singles, Joel Wheeler with two singles and two RBI and Hunter Seaton with two singles and an RBI. Jacob Kenter pitched the four-hitter with no walks and 14 strikeouts.

BCCH improves to 1-1 in the Egyptian-Illini Conference, 1-1 overall.
