American Legion Post 120 Juniors Split With South Central

The American Legion Post 120 Juniors split victories with South Central Tuesday evening.

In the opener, South Central claimed a 5-4 victory. South Central held a 1-0 first inning lead then pushed that to 2-0 in the third and 3-0 in the fifth. Effingham scored all of its runs in the sixth.

South Central had six hits in the contest led by Harmeier with a triple and an RBI and Powless with a single, double and an RBI. Ross chipped in with two singles and an RBI.

Effingham was led by Woltman with a single, double and an RBI.

In the second contest, Effingham had its hitting shoes on to bang out 10 hits and claim an 11-2 victory.

Effingham had a six-run fourth inning. South Central aided the cause with five errors. Woltman again led the hitting attack with two singles, a triple and an RBI while Daugherty chipped in with a double. Six other players had a single each.
