Sherwin Williams, Prime Sole Advance in Khoury League Tourney; No Results Available on Ripken Tournament

Sherwin Williams and Prime Sole were Friday winners at the Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League tournament at Community Park.

Sherwin Williams won over Heritage Builders 5-2, while Prime Sole downed South Central FS 12-1. 

Jackson Lee picked up the win for Sherwin Williams and also homered with one on in the first inning, part of a three-run inning for Sherwin Williams.  The outburst came after Heritage Builders had scored runs in the top of the frame.  Sherwin Williams scored single runs in the third and fifth to seal the victory. 

Nate Thompson took the loss for Heritage Builders.

Sherwin Williams scored its five runs on four hits, while Heritage Builders plated its two runs on three hits.

Brennyn Cutts also homered for Sherwin Williams for their run in the third. 

Also for Sherwin Williams, Lee singled and drove in a total of three runs and Blickem singled and drove in a run. 

At the plate for Heritage Builders, Swingler doubled, Reardon doubled and drove in a run, Doedtman drove home a run, and Thompson singled.

In the other contest, a seven-run third inning boosted Prime Sole to its win, after scoring a run in the first and then adding three runs in the fourth and a run in the fifth.  Prime Sole scored its 12 runs on 10 hits.

South Central FS scored its lone run in the first and had just two hits in the game.

Ty Wiedman got the win, while Josh Blanchette took the loss.

At the plate for Prime Sole: Tanner Stephens singled twice and drove in two runs...Jonathan Zerrusen singled twice and drove in a run...Ty Wiedman singled and drove in two runs...Eli Link tripled and singled and drove in three runs...Nathan Barnes singled and drove in two runs...Matt Hunzinger tripled and drove in a run...and Schiedmeter singled and drove in a run.

The two South Central FS hits were singles from Wyatt Sparks and Kennan Walsh, who drove in the only run for South Central.

The Khoury League Tournament will resume Monday with more quarterfinal action when Scott Mosher Country Financial plays Baseball Card Connection at 5:30pm, followed by Taylor Law Offices and the Rotary Wheels at 7:30pm.

We could find no results on Friday night's Cal Ripken League Tournament games.

Arab Pest Control was scheduled to play DeKalb, followed by Dairy Queen and Rhodes to Health Chiropractic.
