>>Cardinals Take Tight Contest At Wrigley

(Chicago, IL)  --  Carlos Beltran collected three hits as the Cardinals beat the Cubs in a tight 3-2 win from Wrigley Field.  Beltran went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and an RBI.  Cards starter Joe Kelly earned his first win of the season.  Kelly quieted Cubbie hitters, surrendering only one run on three hits in under six innings of work.  Edward Mujica slammed the door with a perfect ninth for his 26th save.  St Louis has now won six of its last seven games.  Carlos Villanueva allowed just two runs in six innings but fell to 2-and-5 on the year.  Starlin Castro added two hits including his sixth homer of the year for the Cubs.

The teams square off in Game 3 of the series tonight at 6:15pm.
