Vandalia Edges Effingham Junior Legion

Vandalia edged Effingham American Legion Post 120 Juniors 6-5 in action Monday. Vandalia had a three-run third and one in the fifth for a 4-0 lead. Effingham came back with one in the sixth and knotted the score with three in the seventh. Vandalia pulled out the victory with two runs in the ninth.

Effingham had 11 hits in the contest led by Wohltman and Sanders with a single and a double each. Woltman had two RBI and Sanders one RBI.
