It's an experiment that has worked out well.

The Windsor and Stewardson-Strasburg school districts decided to combine their baseball program this season to see whether combining in other sports might be worth a look.  The results are undeniable successful as Windsor/Stew-Stras captured the Cumberland 1A Sectional Saturday, defeating South Central 3-1.

Windsor/Stew-Stras will play Monday at 10am at Marion's Rent One Park in super sectional action against the Goreville Sectional champion.

South Central took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but Windsor/Stew-Stras bounced back with a three-run sixth inning to post the win.
