Olney Downs Dieterich; Other Thursday Scores

Olney East Richland posted a 9-2 win over the Dieterich Movin Maroons in Thursday high school baseball action.

A six-run Olney fifth inning was the difference in this one.

Tanner Traub took the loss for Dieterich, allowing seven runs, six earned, on five hits and five walks while striking out two batters.  Brandon Westjohn pitched the final 1-1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks.

At the plate for Dieterich, Alex Bohnhoff scored twice, Traub had two hits and drove in two runs, Westjohn singled, Chris Lidy singled twice, and Trenton Poe singled.

Also Thursday, the Arthur/Lovington vs. Windsor/Stew-Stras game was halted by rain with one out in the third inning.  Windsor/Stew-Stras was leading 2-0 when the game was stopped.  No word on a make-up date.
