Teutopolis Loses to Champaign Centennial; Other Friday Scores

The Champaign Centennial Chargers handed the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes just their second loss of the spring Friday, 4-3.

Kyle Pruemer went the distance for the Wooden Shoes, allowing just three earned runs on six hits, walking none and fanning 10.

At the plate for Teutopolis, Derek Smith homered, while Waldhoff, Goldstein Probst and Hardiek each singled.

Teutopolis is now 12-2 this spring.

Dieterich defeated Newton 3-2 in baseball action Friday.  The Movin Maroons scored twice in the first inning and added a run in the sixth to take a 3-0 lead.  Newton scored twice in the seventh to make it close, but Dieterich prevailed.

Jake Bohnhoff outdueled Caleb Chestnut for the victory.  Bohnhoff allowed two earned runs on five hits, walked one and fanned four to claim the win.  Chestnut allowed three earned runs on five hits, walked four and fanned two for Newton.  Garrett Einhorn singled and drove in two runs for Dieterich while Alex Bohnhoff singled home the other run.  Jake Bohnhoff and Tanner Traub each singled and scored and Clayton Campton singled.  For Newton, Chestnut had two hits and scrored, Tanner Shull singled and drove home the two Newton runs, Weston Shipman singled, and Tyler Rice singled and scored. 

Dieterich is now 3-3 on the spring.
