Cubs Split Games Against Dodgers, Mariners

The Chicago Cubs split a pair of games with the Dodgers and Mariners Thursday.The Cubs lost 5-4 to Los Angeles in Tucson, and defeated Seattle 7-4 in the night cap. The Cubs are in Phoenix today facing the Brewers.

Sox Blast Brewers

(Glendale, AZ) -- Gordon Beckham lifted a two-run homer and Jeff Keppinger had a solo shot as the White Sox blasted the Brewers, 8-3. Alex Rios was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs and two RBI for Chicago. Chris Sale gave up three runs in seven innings for his third spring win. The Sox are in Phoenix tonight facing the Athletics.

Cards Clip Mets

(Port St. Lucie, FL)  --  Allen Craig singled home Adron Chambers in the top of the eighth to lift the Cardinals to a 3-2 win over the Mets.  Starter Adam Wainwright gave up two runs in 4 2/3 frames for a no decision.  Maikel Cleto picked up the win and Jason Motte earned the save.  The Cardinals clash with the Astros in Kissimmee today.

Thumb Surgery Expected To Sideline Dodgers' Ramirez Two Months

(Glendale, AZ) -- Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez could miss two months with a torn ligament in his right thumb. Ramirez is scheduled to have surgery today and the thumb will then be immobilized for three weeks. The Dodgers hope he will be ready to start playing again in eight weeks. Ramirez was injured diving for a ground ball while playing third base in the Dominican Republic's 3-0 win over Puerto Rico in Tuesday's final of the World Baseball Classic.
