The youngest starting pitcher ever for a postseason game, took the mound Tuesday at Petco Park but didn't prove much of a help as the New York Yankees dropped a 7-5 decision to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Deivi Garcia, a 21-year-old, was put on the mound to contain the Rays left-handed heavy squad. But he gave up a home run to Randy Arozarena then left for J.A. Happ who then gave up four runs and took the loss. The 21-year-old was the youngest pitcher since Whitey Ford in 1950 in Game 4 of the World Series.

Despite two home runs by Giancarlo Stanton, the Yankees couldn't get over a 5-1 lead by the Rays after three innings despite scoring three in the top of the fourth. Tampa Bay came back with single runs in the fifth and sixth.
