South Central High School hosted a baseball round-robin on Saturday. Here are the results:

The Cardinals scored two runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh, but the Cougars prevailed. South Central had scored twice in the third and in the fifth, then hung on for the win.

Johannes got the win, allowing two earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven in 5-2/3 innings. The Dodsons pitched the final 1-1/3 innings to preserve the win, giving up one unearned run. C. Dodson fanned two against a walk, and A. Dodson struck out a batter while allowing one hit.

Brady Ingram took the loss, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits and a walk while fanning three in three innings of work. Zain Walker gave up two runs on a hit but five walks in 1-2/3 innings. Alexander Boose gave up a hit in 1-1/3 innings.

Thompson and Jolliff each had two hits for the Cougars, while Logan Fleener and Holden Clifton each had two hits for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals scored a run in the seventh to win the game. The Wooden Shoes scored in the second but the Cardinals tied the game in the fourth and took a 3-1 lead in the fifth. The Shoes tied the game in the bottom of the inning, though, and that's where things stood until the seventh.

Holden Clifton got the win in relief of Dakota Teague, Alexander Boose and Logan Dawkins. Seth Bushur gave up the winning run in the seventh, following Evan Addis, Kendal Schmidt and Justin Hardiek to the mound.

Brady Ingram drove home two runs for the Cardinals and Collyn Ballard had two hits.

Matt Deters had two hits for Teutopolis.

It was a 2-2 game until the sixth inning, when the Wooden Shoes scored three times. They added two more runs in the seventh and then withstood a two-run Cougars rally in the bottom of the frame to claim the win.

Kayden Althoff got the win for the Shoes, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while posting nine strikeouts. Seth Bushur gave up the two runs in the seventh before Derek Konkel posted a strikeout to shut down the rally.

A. Dodson gave up two unearned runs in two innings of work on a hit with a walk and a strikeout. C. Dodson went four innings, allowing three runs on two hits and seven walks while fanning four. Watwood pitched the final two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks.

Althoff had two hits and drove in two runs, and Bushur drove in two runs.

Teutopolis is now 10-4 on the fall, while South Central is 10-3.
