Effingham nabbed a junior high baseball win over Charleston Wednesday, 14-4 in six innings via the 10-run rule.

The Mustangs ran off to a 7-0 opening inning lead and led 11-1 but Charleston tallied three in the fifth to hold off the 10-run rule until the sixth.

Effingham banged out 16 hits led by Colton Webb with a single, triple and an RBI, Wyatt Hayes with three singles and an RBI, Kaden Koeberlein and B. Tucker with two singles and an RBI each. Max Flack added two singles. Wade Bushur had a single and drove in three runs.

Koeberlein was the winning pitcher going four innings allowing four hits, one run, one walk and striking out four.
