ALTAMONT -- North Clay (Louisville) threw three pitchers at Altamont and held the Indians to two hits in taking a 4-2 National Trail Conference high school baseball victory Monday.

The Cardinals edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead but Altamont tied in the second and took a 2-1 lead in the fourth. The Cardinals then had single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings for the win.

Bryton Griffy went 1.1 innings allowing one run, three walks and striking out two. Layton Dawkins came on to throw 2.2 innings allowing one run, one hit, two walks and two strikeouts. Collyn Ballard picked up the win on the mound going three innings allowing one hit, one walk and striking out three.

North Clay had five hits led by Holden Cilfton with two singles and an RBI. Dakota Weidner had a single and drove in a run while Griffy added an RBI.

Altamont's two hits were singles by Tyler Robbins and Zeke Rippetoe.
