LOUISVILLE -- North Clay (Louisville) blanked Brownstown/St. Elmo, 4-0 in National Trail Conference high school baseball Thursday.

The Cardinals edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead and led 2-0 after four. Two more runs came in the fifth.

Zain Walker was the winning pitcher, throwing a two-hitter with four walks and four strikeouts.

North Clay had five hits, all singles by Bryton Griffy, Collyn Ballard, Holden Clifton, Jesse Weidner and Logan Fleener. The Cardinals improve to 5-2 on the season.

BSE was led by Wyat Chandler and Nick Nelson with a single each. BSE drops to 1-6.

North Clay is back in action today at Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City while BSE will play host to South Central today.
