BROWNSTOWN -- Brownstown/St. Elmo picked up a high school Egyptian-Illini Conference baseball victory Wednesday over Mulberry Grove, 4-1.

BSE opened with a run in the first and tacked on a second run in the third. Mulberry Grove pulled within 2-1 in the fourth. BSE then put the game away with two in the sixth.

Dalton Myers went the distance on the mound allowing three hits, two walks and striking out nine.

Brady Maxey had a single, double and an RBI while Lukas Miller added two singles.

BSE improves to 1-0 in the EIC, 1-5 overall and returns to action today at North Clay (Louisville).
