Effingham Sacred Heart claimed a 4-2 win over Neoga in junior high boys baseball action Wednesday.

The Shamrocks edged out to a 1-0 opening inning lead and moved ahead 2-0 in the top of the fifth. Neoga tied in the bottom of the fifth. Sacred Heart then won with two runs in the seventh.

Sacred Heart had eight hits led by Biggs with two singles, a home run and one RBI and Karolewicz with three singles.

Neoga was led by Sheehan with four singles and an RBI and Ballinger with two singles, a double and an RBI.

Dieterich tallied an 11-1 win over North Clay (Louisville) in five innings Wednesday.

Teutopolis blanked Mount Zion, 4-0 in action Wednesday.
