CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Reds held the St. Louis Cardinals to two hits in taking a 2-1 victory Thursday at Great American Ball Park.

The Cardinals saw a five-game winning streak snapped but still stand in first in the National League Central.

Phillies 7, Cubs 5

Chicago relief pitching failed again as the Cubs fell to Philadelphia.

A six-run ninth did in the Cubs as Bryce Harper hit a grand slam spoiling a nice performance by Yu Darvish. Darvish went seven innings, striking out 10 and not allowing a run. Then the bullpen took over.

Four relievers allowed seven runs as the Phillies swept the Cubs.
