MLB Suspends Seattle's Beckham, Cubs, Cardinals Lose

Major League Baseball has suspended Seattle Mariners infielder Tim Beckham for 80 games without pay after he tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance. The suspension will carry over into next season.


Dodgers Place Verdugo On IL

The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed rookie-of-the-year contender Alex Verdugo on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain. The team says Verdugo was hurt during Sunday's win over San Diego.


Torres Returns to NY For Tests

New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres has returned to New York for tests after leaving last night's win against the Orioles in Baltimore with "core pain." Torres also left Sunday's game because of the same issue.


Ball Hits Stewart On Head

In what pretty much sums up the Baltimore Orioles season, outfielder DJ Stewart left Tuesday’s game after mis-timing a dive for a fly ball. Instead of making the catch, Stewart made the highlight reels when the ball plunked him in the head.
