Dodgers Make Major League History

The Los Angeles Dodgers made Major League history with their three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies this weekend. The Dodgers won all three games with rookies hitting walk-off home runs for the first time in history.

Mets' Alonso Sets Franchise Mark

New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso set a new franchise mark by hitting his 27th home run of the season yesterday. That broke the team’s rookie record for homers set by Darryl Strawberry in 1983.

New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway cursed at Newsday reporter Tim Healey, and pitcher Jason Vargas had to be restrained from charging him during a confrontation in the team's clubhouse after Sunday’s loss. The beef began after a tense postgame news conference. Healey later said Mets ownership called him to apologize.
