The San Diego Padres’ Manny Machado has been suspended for one game and fined by Major League Baseball for his argument over a strike call that led to his ejection over the weekend.

Machado was punished for “aggressively arguing and making contact” with umpire Bill Welke, although he’s appealing the suspension, which means he can play until his appeal is heard.
