Shohei Ohtani Puts Name In Record Book

Shohei Ohtani put his name in the baseball record book Thursday night in the Angels’ 5-3 win over the Rays as he became the first Japanese-born player to hit for the cycle. It was the eighth cycle in Angels history, and the first since Mike Trout’s in 2013.


Yankees Place Morales On IL

The New York Yankees have placed Kendrys Morales on the 10-day injured list with a strained left calf. The move is retroactive to June 12th and the team has recalled Mike Tauchman from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Dodgers' Seager Has Hamstrong Strain

The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed shortstop Corey Seager on the injured list with a left hamstring strain. Seager was hurt in the ninth inning of a loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday after missing most of last season after having Tommy John and left hip surgeries.
