Dodger's Urias Placed On Administrative Leave

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on domestic battery charges. Urias allegedly got into an argument with a female companion outside a shopping center and shoved her to the ground. The woman denied the allegations, but witness accounts and surveillance video appear to show that it did happen.


Yankees Acquire Morales

The New York Yankees have acquired veteran slugger Kendrys Morales and cash from the Oakland Athletics. The Yankees will send the A’s a player to be named.

New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar is expected to make a decision soon about whether to undergo surgery on his injured right shoulder. Should Andujar opt for surgery, it would likely mean he’d miss the rest of the season.


Mariners' Hernandez Expected To Miss 4-6 Weeks

The Seattle Mariners now say that pitcher Felix Hernandez is expected to miss four to six weeks after being diagnosed with a lat strain in his right side. Hernandez was initially placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday after first being diagnosed as having a shoulder strain.


Guerrero Jr. Has First, Second HRs

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his first and second major league home runs Tuesday. At 20 years, 59 days old, Guerrero became the youngest player in Toronto Blue Jays history to homer, breaking Danny Ainge’s 1979 record by 18 days.
