With two five-run innings, Effingham St. Anthony claimed a 12-2 win over Dieterich in high school baseball action Monday.

The Bulldogs tallied five in the third and five in the fourth and finished the game via the 10-run rule in the sixth.

Both teams had seven hits but Dieterich committed five errors.

Dylan Guy led the Bulldogs in hitting with two doubles and an RBI while Davis Tingley and Logan Antrim had a double each. Tingley added two RBI. Collin Koester had a triple and drove in two runs.

Dieterich was led by Cole Niebrugge and Evan Bohnhoff with two singles each. Niebrugge had two RBI.

Guy picked up the pitching win on a seven-hitter with one walk and 14 strikeouts.

St. Anthony improves to 14-4 on the season.

Teutopolis had 10 hits and scored 10 runs in downing South Central, 10-2 in action Monday.

The Cougars took a 1-0 first inning lead but the Wooden Shoes tallied four in the second, three in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Luke Ungrund knocked out two home runs and added a single to finish with three RBI for the Shoes. Trenton Schwerdt had a single, home run and an RBI while Mitch Hardiek had a double.

South Central had three hits led by Sebastin Cowger with a double.

Hardiek (3-0) picked up the pitching win, going the distance, allowing three hits, two runs, four walks and striking out 11.

The Shoes improve to 13-5 while South Central dropped to 12-4.

Brownstown/St. Elmo dropped a loss to Hillsboro in action Monday, 6-1.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the second inning but Hillsboro came back with six runs in the third.

BSE had nine hits led by Jace McWhorter with a single an triple and Nate Philpot with two singles. BSE drops to 11-7 on the season.

Altamont tallied single runs in the fourth and seventh but it wasn't enough as Nokomis took a 6-2 victory Monday.

The Indians had four hits led by Jacob Hammer with a single and double. Altamont drops to 9-6 on the season.

Ramsey tallied a 7-4 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Monday.

Ramsey had five less hits than CHBC but the Bobcats committed five errors. The score was knotted at 1-1 after one inning. CHBC took a 2-1 lead into the fourth when Ramsey tied. The Rams then moved ahead with two in the fifth.

CHBC was led by Mason Manley with two singles, a double and an RBI, Silas Buzzard with two doubles and an RBI and Nick Miller with three singles.

Olney stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to beat Newton 11-0 in five innings via the 10-run rule Monday.

The Tigers had nine hits while Newton had five and committed three errors.
