Yankees Now Lead Majors With 13 On IL

The New York Yankees have placed outfielder Aaron Judge on the injured list after he suffered a "pretty significant strain" in his left oblique. Manager Aaron Boone says Judge could miss a significant period of time. The Yankees now lead the majors with 13 players on the IL.


Blue Jay's Shoemaker Done For Year

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Matt Shoemaker is done for the year with a torn ACL in his left knee. Shoemaker has had an injury-plagued career, missing most of last season with a strained right forearm and sustaining a skull fracture when he was hit in the head by a line drive in 2016.


Rays Place Meadows on IL

The Tampa Bay Rays have placed outfielder Austin Meadows on the 10-day injured list after he sprained his right thumb. Meadows was injured during Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox after he slid into third base.
