Shelbyville Edges BSE In Baseball Action

SHELBYVILLE -- Shelbyville High School edged Brownstown/St. Elmo, 13-12 in baseball action Tuesday.

The Rams took a 1-0 first inning lead and scored in every inning but the seventh.

BSE held a 4-3 lead in the third and made a comeback attempt with eight runs in the seventh to tie the game and send it into extra innings. But Shelbyville tallied the winning run in the eighth.

BSE had 12 hits in the contest but had six errors. Bryton Pruett and Jace McWhorter had a double each for BSE. Caleb Atwood finished with three singles and two RBI while Rocky Himes had two singles and two RBI.

The game was the season opener.
